The Palatine American Legion Auxiliary Post 690 is hosting a bingo night on Saturday, November 15th which is open to the public from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the American Legion Hall 122 West Palatine Road in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.

“We will be playing bingo from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM with an early bird game at 6:30 PM,” said Lisa Wente, project chair.  “The doors will open at 6:00 PM.  Come on out and see if you can cash in as well as support our charities.”

During bingo the auxiliary will have food and snacks available.  A full service bar will be open upstairs for the bingo night and another full service bar will be open downstairs in the clubroom.

“We are always looking for new members for the American Legion Auxiliary,” said Wente.  “If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country then the Auxiliary is the organization for you.  If you have any questions on the American Legion Auxiliary or any of our activities call us at 847-359-1606.”

Founded in 1919, The American Legion Auxiliary has almost one million members in nearly 10,500 units. The Auxiliary administers volunteer programs for veterans as well as within the community and is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization.  Through units located in every state and some foreign countries, the Auxiliary raises money to support its own programs as well as other worthwhile charities.

The Palatine Auxiliary holds their monthly general meeting on the second Thursday of the month except in July and August at 7:30 PM at the American Legion Hall on Palatine Road in Palatine.  For further information on The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 690, any of their sponsored events or for membership write to the American Legion Auxiliary, 122 West Palatine Road, Palatine, IL 60067, call them at 847-359-1606 or visit www.alpost690.us.
