Hometown Fest - July 3 - 7

The American Legion Post 690 Family will be participating in Palatine's Home Fest. This annual event is sponsored by the Palatine Jaycees. Since 1957, the Palatine Jaycees have proudly partnered with the village and park district to host Hometown Fest, Palatine’s Fourth of July Celebration. The festival includes fireworks, entertainment, food vendors, parade, carnival, business expo and craft fair, Family Day and many other family activities. The Palatine Jaycee members volunteer their time to organize as well as run the event each year. Proceeds from Hometown Fest benefit Palatine by funding community projects, community grants, high school scholarships, and much more.

The American Legion Post 690 Family will be participating in the annual parade to celebrate the holiday weekend. This year the parade will kick off at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 6th. If you are a member, come out and march with us. If not, please support us and other parade participants and get your spot on the parade route early.

The post's Sons of the American Legion will be hosting a corn boil and cheese curd booth in Community Park during Hometown Fest. Come on by and try some of their delicous corn on the cob and/or cheese curds. My mouth is watering just writing about it.
